Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence had good news to share on Sunday night.
‘Thank you to everyone who has reached out / been praying for me. I’m home and feeling better. Means a lot, thank you all (high five emoji),’ he wrote on social media website X.
Lawrence, 25, had to exit the Jaguars’ matchup with the Houston Texans late in the second quarter after taking a brutal hit to the head. The former No. 1 overall pick was sliding to end a 6-yard scramble when Texans linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair dove toward his upper body.
Lawrence’s head hit the ground hard, and he received immediate medical attention from the Jaguars’ staff. They carted the quarterback off of the field, and he remained out of the game after he was diagnosed with a concussion.

The quarterback’s social media post on Sunday night was good news for his long-term outlook, though it remains to be seen whether he will be available for next week’s game against the Tennessee Titans.
Mac Jones filled in for Lawrence after the latter’s injury, and Jones would be in line to start in Week 14 if Lawrence remains sidelined.
The Jaguars are 2-10 and tied for the NFL’s worst record after their Week 13 loss to the Texans. They’ll play the Titans at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday, Dec. 8.
